eBay Advertising Launches New Motoring Services Hub

eBay Advertising has today launched the Motoring Services Hub, an integrated online hub that showcases a wide range of motoring-related services, offers, and special deals from industry-leading partners: providing increased choice and greater value to eBay’s 17 million users each month.

The Motoring Services Hub, promoted on the eBay Motors homepage at http://motors.ebay.co.uk, is a central location for vehicle insurance, warranty and financial history checks. Companies are currently offering special discounts and unique offers to the eBay community, further benefiting users who own or are actively seeking to purchase or sell vehicles on the site.

eBay’s Motors section is the UK’s number 1 site for the automotive industry according to Hitwise. The launch of the Motoring Services Hub now means motoring partners will be able to take advantage of eBay’s wide reach to provide those interested in more information on cars, motorbikes, commercial vehicles, caravans, boats - and even aeroplanes - with a targeted, relevant user experience.

The hub will be promoted with highly targeted display advertising across the eBay Motors category, including contextual, demographic and behavioural targeting.  Partners will be given exposure on the eBay Motors homepage and will be located in the eBay Partner Centre at http://partner.ebay.co.uk

Phillip Rinn, Director of Advertising Partnerships, UK and EMEA, eBay Advertising, said: “A vehicle is sold every 30 seconds on eBay, which reflects the popularity of this sector and huge interest from eBay users . The launch of the Motoring Services Hub further strengthens the offering in this category for brands and advertisers, and enables eBay users to reap the benefits of increased selection and value for money on deals and offers.”

eBay announces launch of Delivery Services Hub

eBay Advertising today announces the launch of the Delivery Services Hub, a central point on eBay.co.uk for shipping, courier and delivery companies offering choice, value and selection to the tens of thousands of business and private sellers on the UK’s leading online marketplace.

The eBay Delivery Services Hub (available at http://partner.ebay.co.uk/delivery-services) provides a single destination where shipping carriers (including lead sponsor Safestore)   purchase ‘blocks’ of space to showcase their offerings exclusive to eBay users.  Daily deals and special offers will provide customers with the choice of reduced costs and cheaper alternatives for delivery.

eBay.co.uk will promote the Delivery Services Hub with a minimum of 100 million mixed format advertising impressions each month across the homepage, search results pages, category pages and My eBay pages of the eBay network.

This initiative marks the first time the eBay.co.uk has secured discounts for postage or shipping for its users based on their collective purchasing power, and allows smaller and more specialist shipping companies to promote themselves easily and effectively on the site.

Paul Haydock, Director, myParcelDelivery.com said “eBay’s move to create a Delivery Services Hub again demonstrates its commitment to continually improving the selling experience of its users. The introduction of the Shipping Hub will create a more ‘complete’ eBay selling experience – where sellers have full control exactly how they ship & track their deliveries.”

Phillip Rinn, Director of Advertising Partnerships, UK and EMEA of eBay Advertising, UK said: “On eBay there are 30 million live listings at any given time, and over 200 million items sold a year which need to be shipped. The launch of the Delivery Services Hub is the first real opportunity for shipping companies to advertise their services to prospective customers, and for us to deliver a choice of shipping options to our customers, enabling them to reap the benefits of reduced delivery costs.”
