The prize is £250 in PayPal credit (the “Prize”). There is no cash alternative.
1. This eBay.co.uk Auto servicing User Survey prize draw (“Promotion”) is open to all EU residents aged 18 years or over who have visited eBay.co.uk (the “Site”) and have a registered address in the UK. The Promotion begins at 00:00:01 GMT on 24th June 2021 and finishes at 11:59:59 GMT on 31st August 2021 (“Promotional Period”). Any employees (and their families) of eBay Inc., any affiliates, subsidiary companies, any representatives or agents of those companies and anyone else who may be professionally involved with the Promotion are excluded.
2. To enter the Promotion the entrant will need to complete and submit the eBay.co.uk Auto servicing User Survey and provide a valid email address. To qualify for entry, entrants must complete all of the following activities during the Promotional Period (each referred to as a “Qualifying Activity”):
- Click the advert promoting the Promotion on the Site. Clicking the advert will open a survey hosted by eBay’s third party research partner FocusVision; and
- Complete all questions in the survey, provide a valid email address, and submit the survey.
3. No more than two entries per entrant. Any number of entries above two submitted by an individual entrant will be discarded.
4. No purchase necessary.
5. Opt out of entry: When completing the survey, if you have provided your email address but do not wish to be entered into the Promotion, please send an email to [email protected] from the email address you provided when entering the Promotion, containing the words “Opt-out of ebay.co.uk Auto servicing User Survey” in the subject box.
6. Prize draw: The winning entry will be drawn randomly from the total pool of valid entries by an independent adjudicator.
7. The winner need not have a registered PayPal account at the time of entry or selection. However, in order to redeem the Prize, the winner must hold a validly registered PayPal account that is in good standing and operated in accordance with PayPal’s User Agreement and policies.
8. The winner will be notified by email, to the email address submitted to eBay with your entry within 30 days following the end of the Promotional Period.
9. Entrants shall be responsible for ensuring that the email address they submit is up to date and accurate so they can be contacted if they win. If eBay or its authorised agents are not able to contact the winner, or if a winner does not claim the prize after being contacted, by midnight 7 days after the first attempted notification, eBay reserves the right to select an alternative winner and the original winner’s entitlement will lapse.
10. The Prize will be credited into the winner’s PayPal account at a time to be decided between the winner and eBay. The winner acknowledges that it may take up to 72 hours for a processed credit to appear in his or her PayPal account.
11. The name of the winner and their county will be available for two months after being drawn. To receive this information, send an email to [email protected] with your contact information and “Winner name request, eBay Ads Auto servicing User Survey, June 2021 Prize draw” in the subject line.
12. eBay’s decision is final in all cases and no communication will be entered into.
13. By accepting the Prize the winner irrevocably grants eBay permission to use his or her name, biographical and eBay-related information for advertising, promotional or publicity purposes in relation to the Promotion.
14. If eBay has suspicions or knowledge that any entrant/nominated person has been involved in any fraudulent or illegal activity, eBay reserves the right to disqualify that entrant and any related entrants. eBay may also disqualify any entrant that does not act in accordance with these terms and conditions and/or eBay’s rules and policies.
15. eBay reserves the right to suspend, change or cancel the Promotion at any time in the event of circumstances arising which in eBay’s reasonable opinion make it necessary to do so. This includes the ability to substitute a Prize, which is, in eBay’s reasonable opinion, of equivalent value, change the specification of the Prize if circumstances require it or change the entry procedures from an online form to an email format.
16. English Law governs the Promotion. By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these rules, and the eBay.co.uk User Agreement including without limitation the section entitled Content. The definition of “content” in the Content section includes any information or content the entrant provides to eBay for the purposes of the Promotion.
17. eBay shall not be liable, in contract or tort (including negligence) or the breach of statutory duty or in any other way, for the loss or damage howsoever arising suffered by the entrant resulting directly or indirectly from entry to this Promotion. Nothing in these terms shall limit eBay’s liability for death, personal injury or fraud.
18. eBay does not accept, and is not responsible for, any lost or delayed entries. eBay reminds entrants of the nature and limitations of the internet and is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any communications network, online system or computer hardware or software that may affect entry to the Promotion.
19. Although eBay will use reasonable efforts to ensure that all information relating to the Promotion (“Promotional Material“) is accurate, eBay is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any communications network, online system or computer hardware or software failure that may affect eBay’s operation of the Promotion or the Site, including without limitation the accuracy of any Promotional Material.
20. eBay may use third parties to facilitate one or more elements of the Promotion and we may provide some of your personally identifiable information to them. These third party service providers are subject to confidentiality agreements with us and other legal restrictions that prohibit the use of the information we provide them for any other purpose except to facilitate the specific outsourced eBay-related operation. 21. eBay (UK) Ltd (“eBay”) at 1 More London Place, London, SE1 2AF, United Kingdom is the organiser of the Promotion. eBay may carry out this organisation through its local subsidiaries.
